File Service Terms and Conditions
1. General:
By submitting a file to PRO ECU TUNE for modification, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
All tuning files are provided for off-road, motorsport, or testing purposes only and must be used in accordance with local laws and regulations.
PRO ECU TUNE accepts no responsibility for the improper use of modified software.
2. File Responsibility:
The customer is responsible for:
-
Uploading the correct and original ECU file.
-
Ensuring the file belongs to the same vehicle and ECU version described.
-
Providing accurate information about the vehicle and requested solutions.
PRO ECU TUNE strongly recommends sending the original, unmodified ECU file (ORI) for all solutions.
If the submitted file has been previously modified, edited, or tuned, PRO ECU TUNE does not take responsibility if the requested solution does not function as intended.
If the uploaded file is incorrect, corrupted, or incomplete, the service may be delayed or rejected.
3. Turnaround Time:
File delivery time may vary depending on workload, complexity, and file type.
Typical turnaround: 15–60 minutes during business hours.
Requests submitted outside working hours will be processed the next day.
4. Payment & Credits:
-
All payments must be made in full before receiving the modified file.
-
Payments are made for the work performed, not for the outcome of that work.
-
Once a file has been processed, no refunds are issued under any circumstances.
-
If a file cannot be completed or used, the payment may be converted into credits for another file service, at the discretion of PRO ECU TUNE.
-
Credits are valid for future services only and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Installation, Resets and Instructions:
-
For some selected solutions (for example: DPF, EGR, SCR/AdBlue etc.), the required resets must always be performed on the original file before writing the modified file. These steps are mandatory to ensure proper functionality and to avoid fault codes or malfunctions.
-
If any physical components, connectors, or sensors must be disconnected or removed, PRO ECU TUNE will provide clear instructions on when to do so.
-
The customer (or their mechanic) is responsible for correctly following these instructions. Failure to perform the required resets or disconnections may result in malfunction, for which PRO ECU TUNE is not liable.
6. Use at Your Own Risk:
All modified files are supplied at your own risk.
PRO ECU TUNE is not liable for:
-
Any engine, ECU, or component damage caused by incorrect use or installation.
-
Issues resulting from poor mechanical condition, incorrect tuning requests, or third-party interference.
Customers should ensure the vehicle is in good mechanical condition before applying any modified software.
7. Data Storage & Privacy:
All uploaded files and customer data are kept confidential and used only for the purpose of providing the requested service.
Files may be stored securely for reference or quality assurance.
8. Legal Notice:
Modifying or disabling emissions-related systems (DPF, EGR, SCR/AdBlue, GPF, CAT, NOx, etc.) is illegal for use on public roads in many countries.
Such modifications are provided strictly for off-road or motorsport use only.
The customer is fully responsible for how the modified software is used.
9. Modification of Terms and Conditions:
PRO ECU TUNE reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and without notice.
10. Agreement:
By uploading or requesting a tuning file from PRO ECU TUNE, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
